The information we collect

Local Exposure cares about your privacy. For this reason, we only collect information as needed to provide high quality websites and products (collectively, our “Services”). Your personal data includes information such as; name, address, telephone number and email address. We might also collect information from you regarding third parties in relation to you (i.e. hosting company etc…).

We collect information about you when you enquire or place an order for products or services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions.

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Local Exposure website, email, phone or with a Local Exposure representative.

The way we use information

We collect information about you to process your order, manage your account, improve the services we deliver and, if you agree, to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest.

Local Exposure will not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies, but may share your information with our close partners, e.g. a consultant, where there is a legitimate interest. For example, if you have requested information or have a specific need for a related service which we do not directly deliver ourselves. In order to deliver our service a number of 3rd parties are used. Your information may be shared with, but not limited to;

  • Providers of cloud based CRM software, who we use to manage customer records
  • Providers of cloud based marketing / mailing list services
  • Providers of transactional email services (used to deliver emails sent via your website)

  • Hosting data centres including the UK, Germany and Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS cloud
  • Search engines and directories (if we help setup a listing on your behalf)

Wherever it is practicably possible we use servers located within the UK, and secondly the EEA. We continually assess the 3rd parties we use and where a service is provided from outside the EEA, we look towards them meeting GDPR standards.

We are committed to protecting the security of your personal data. Internally we strive to adopt best practices, continue to revise policies and implement additional security as new technologies become available.

Where we have given you a password which may provide access to certain information, you are responsible for keeping that password confidential.

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy, submit at Data Access Request by email privacy@localexposure.co.uk or write to us at address detailed at the bottom of the page. Wherever possible this service will be free, but we reserve the right to make a small charge.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct information you think is inaccurate or delete it.
